Dear Members & Friends,

Today is the last working day of the year for most of us. There are many things that some of us may be reflecting as we celebrate the arrival of the new year 2011. Try to leave the ifs, buts, whys or regrets behind if you can and look forward to what the new year can brings to us. From what I can see, next year is going to be an exciting year for Malaysia as far as the sport of Football is concern.

Many thanks to the young harimaus who clinched the first ever Suzuki Cup Championship and brought much pride to Malaysia. If you were there at the Multi Purpose Hall last night, you would have witnessed the unity and thunderous support from fellow Malay sians rooting for our National team in the 2nd leg of the final match against the Indonesians. Thanks to the MATRADE, MITI and the Embassy for holding the Networking session at such an opportune time for fellow Malaysians to come together. We all deserved the specially declared public holiday announced by the Najib government to celebrate the occassion!

For those who are joining us for the Overnight Outing 15-16 January 2011, we will be contacting you shortly on the final program. Looking forward to meeting all of you for an enjoyable outing! On behalf of the Committee, I wish you and your families a great year ahead! Especially for those who are travelling, have a safe trip!

Price 3,000 baht for 2 (twin sharing)*

9.00 am Depart Bangkok for Khao Yai
12 noon Arrive in Khao Yai and lunch at
local restaurant (meal cost to be shared by participants)

1.30 pm Check In at Juldis Khao Yai Resort
2.00 – 5.00 pm - Games and Team Play for Everyone
6.30 pm Dinner

7.00 am Tee Off for Golfers or Breakfast for Non-Golfers
8.30 am Hiking for Non-Golfers at Khao Yai Nature Reserve
11.00 am Return to Hotel for Non-Golfers
12 noon Check Out and proceed to Golf Course to meet up with
Golfers for lunch
2.00 pm Depart Khao Yai for Bangkok
5.00 pm Expected Arrival in Bangkok

For those who require transport, we will try to car pool. Kindly confirm your
participation as we need to confirm our bookings with the Resort to secure the rooms.

FAREWELL GOLF GAME FOR MR. AHMAD SABRI MOHD TAHIR

I wish to inform you that the Sports and Welfare Club, Embassy of Malaysia, Bangkok will be organizing a final Malaysian Monthly Golf Tournament for 2010 and a Farewell Golf Game for Mr. Ahmad Sabri Mohd Tahir, Third Secretary (Consular/Visa), Embassy of Malaysia, Bangkok. The details of the tournament are as follows:

Tee off Time: 1030 hours (Shortgun) Course B

2. Please be informed that Mr. Yeap Swee Chuan has been kind enough to sponsor the “Powermap Navigator” to any player who makes hole in one in any par 3, in every Malaysian Monthly Golf Tournament starting from December 2010 onwards.

3. The trophy presentation and dinner during the tournament will be held at the Club House after the golf game. In this regard, the Embassy of Malaysia, Bangkok will be sponsoring the trophies and prizes. The route to the golf club is as attached.

4. I sincerely hope that all Malaysians will be able to join this final month’s tournament and a farewell golf game to our good friends.

SUCCESSFUL KELAB MALAYSIA GOLF SESSION

Dear Members & Friends,

We are pleased to inform that we had another successful Golf session last Saturday @ Royal Golf & Country Club.

A new Champion was installed and he is none other than our very own En. Halmi bin Mohd Salim (who just returned 2 days before the event and in time to win the title). Runner Up was our friend from Brunei, En. Noor Haizamdin. Best Gross goes to Mr. Lim Boon Aun 41-37 (total 78).

As Double Peoria system was used for the tournament, the element of luck was crucial.
