HAPPY XMAS AND A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012

As the year 2011 draws to a close in a few weeks time, we will like to extend our best wishes to all Christians for the coming Xmas. Merry Christmas.

For the coming new year 2012, may we extend our HAPPY NEW YEAR greetings to all. May 2012 be a good year. 2011 has been a rather bad year for Thailand especially with the recent floods which hit Central Thailand especially the ancient city of Ayutthiyai and some industrial estates there. Even Don Muang Airport had to be closed as it was flooded.

Luckily, Central Bangkok and Central Business District was spared from the flood waters.

It is now time to unite and clean up the mess caused by the floods and work hard for 2012.

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2012 TO ALL.

HAPPY WESAK TO ALL BUDDHISTS

MONDAY, MAY 16, 2011
HAPPY WESAK DAY TO ALL BUDDHISTS
Tomorrow is Wesak Day for all Buddhists. Wesak is the birthday,Enlightment day and Death date of Gautama Buddha who preached
Buddhism to the world more than 2,500 years ago.

May we extend our Wesak greetings to all Buddhists on this auspicious occasion. It is our time to remember the Teachings of Buddha and practice the Middle Path so that we can reach Enlightment in our own lives.

Let us remember that our lives in this physical world are transient. Our lives are not permanent but we should strive towards Enlightenment so that we can break the vicious cycle of Rebirth. Being Born is suffering and to end our suffering, we must work towards Nirvana where we can break our Rebirth.

Don't be afraid of Death, Beware of Birth.
Death is the beginning of rebirth
Living is on the way to death.
Cessation of suffering means no rebirth.
This is the Truth of no Rebirth (Nirvana)

HAPPY WESAK.

ANDREW NANANG - NEW PRESIDENT OF KELAB MALAYSIA OF THAILAND

Mr. Andrew Nanang as new President

Members and friends

Please allow me to present my heartful thank to Mr Bobby Tai for the
announcement of the undersigned as the new President elect. Bobby is a
friend and it is through the groundwork and the foundation he has built
over the years that i dare to step in, making the transition compatible,
and of course at ease, moving forward. Thank you Bobby.

I also would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the
influx of congratulatory emails and sms and also the supporters who had
entrusted their faith and confidence in me to take over the role which i
must say 'the role that you never dreamt of, suddenly befall into you'.
But it is a noble cause and a noble responsibility and maybe it is a divine
call to give back and to share my ever precious time, privileges and
stamina with my fellow countrymen as we live and grow as community in the
Kingdom of Thailand. With due respect to all members and friends, I will
accept this appointment with grace.

I will call for a casual meeting soon to gather ideas and consultation
among members and friends to make the transition and/or handover as
practical and as smooth as we all hope for. I also aim to appoint and
build a volatile teamwork among volunteers to play important role in their
own rights whether as director or sub-committee. Hope to meet up again
soon.

Again thank you to all of you and I look forward for the many challenges
for the years to come.

OVERNIGHT OUTING AND FENG SHUI TALK

17th. January 2011

Dear Members & Friends,

We had a short and very exciting (tiring but fun) overnight trip to Khao Yai during the past weekend. Thank you to the families of Halmi, Zuhdy, CK Sun, Chaeng Chin Wooi, Rayner and Chris, plus a host of other families and friends for joining the trip and participated in many of the games and sports. It was a gathering of more than 40 participants under beautiful and cool weather conditions. Golf game at Rancho Charnvee was fantastic on Sunday although the golfers' fingers were "freezing" for the first few holes as we teed off at 7.00 in the morning. Full report and photos will be available in our next copy of newsletter!
One of our members, Mrs. Anna Leong, will once again be holding her annual Feng Shui Update 2011 cum potluck lunch get-together at her residence on 26 January 2011 (Wednesday). You may bring a dish to share if you can. Otherwise, just go and join the fun (so says, Anna Leong)! Her address is as follows:
33/218, Soi 6/6
Mooban Laddawan
Srinakarin Road
Bangkok
Tel: 081-8312356
Have fun!
Regards,
Bobby
