COMING EVENT - FUTSAL COMPETITION

26th. July 2010

Dear Members,

Due to the lukewarm response from members to the proposed Futsal competition, it has been decided to call off the competition set for 1 August 2010 for the time being.
Nevertheless, members are encouraged to participate in the Merdeka Games for Bowling (24 July) and Badminton (31 July).
Regards,
Sports Committee

Dear Members,

After a very successful badminton competition held last year, in conjunction with the Sports Club of our Embassay, we are planning to organise our very first Futsal Competition based on the "Kelab vs Embassy" format. Tentative Date is set for 1 August 2010 (Sunday) at 9.00 am.

We are now soliciting interested Kelab Members to participate in this competition. Depending on the rate of participation from players, we could either hold it on the 1 August or after the Pausa month which is expected to start on 10 August.

To make it more interesting, we would include female participants in the game. There will be a requirement of 2 females in each team of 6 players.

We are given to understand that the Badminton event for the Merdeka Games will be held on 31 July (Saturday) at the Multi Purpose Hall of the Embassy. Interested players please stay tune for the official announcement.

Sports Committee

MAKAN-MAKAN EVENT ON 4TH. JULY 2010

Dear Members and Friends,

Our last Makan-makan event held on 4 July (Sun) at Raddisson Hotel was an over whelming success. The attendance of more than 90 surpassed all our previous records for members' participation. Many thanks for your support. You can access to our Facebook account to view some of the photos taken at the event.

We have received various requests for next Makan-Makan session and our hardworking Committee, Laura, will again be tasked to organise the next one soon. Hopefully it will offer Curry Fish Head and other mouth watering dishes.

An overnight outing is still being planned for the later part of this year. In the meanwhile, start warming up for the annual Merdeka Games that is coming up next! There will be Bowling, Badminton and Golf competition.

Bobby Tai
